Light dry white wine from the Mas Rodó winery from the Penedès region in Catalonia, approx. 65 km west of Barcelona.
The MASTONEGA of Mas Rodó is bright and clear, with a straw yellow to green yellow color. Fresh intense aromas of fruit blossoms and white fruits. Lively, almost lively on the palate, fresh, elegant and balanced, with a slight, delicate finish.
The Montonega tastes of fresh fish, oysters and other seafood and is excellent with sushi.
Montonega is a parellada grape known from Cava production in the do penedès autochthonian clone. On Mas Rodó, the Montonega vines grow in sandy limestone floor at a height of approx. 500m, the yield is relatively small with 4000 kg / ha.
