dry fruity Spanish red wine from the Clos Pons winery from the Coster del Segre region in Catalonia, approx. 160 km west of Barcelona.
Jan Petit is fruity, fresh, young and beautiful, with typical aromas of strawberries and cherries as well as fresh summer flowers, combined with an elegant structure and juicy tannins.
The Jan Petit is an uncompromising relaxed wine that fits just as well for dusk on the terrace such as sausage and smoky, cheese and grilled grilled food.
The Jan Petit grows on its own vineyards in the immediate vicinity of the new winery building. The floor is lime -contained clay, the light slope is oriented to the northwest. The vines are 15 years old and grow on American root sticks. Organic cultivation methods and few vines per hectare provide low yields, the vineyards are located in the switch to organic.
The harvest 2017 was good, about 5,000 kg per hectare was retracted. The grapes were read and selected by hand between November 8th and November 9th, 2017. The most fermented in stainless steel tanks for 8 days at 22 °- 26 ° C on the mash, every grape variety for itself, after which the wine is stored in used 300-liter French and American oak barrels for 6 months.
